Offensive tackle Jim Tyrer (1961-73) is a member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame and also a member of the All-time AFL team as selected by the Pro Football Hall of Fame following the league’s merger with the NFL. He had another distinction. He remains unchallenged as owner of the Chiefs’ largest head wearing a specially built size 8 plus headgear.
